"Blizzard has done it again!"
The hard working folks at Blizzard Entertainment have done it again, and delivered exactly what any MMORPG gamer is looking for! With a seamless story integration from Warcraft 3, stunning graphics, perfectly synchronized voice acting and more, what else could you possibly ask for? Let's delve a little deeper into the World of World of Warcraft...

Graphics: 10/10

At first glance, your average gamer with your average gaming rig isn't going to find WoW the most graphics intensive game on the market. But once one takes a closer look at all the fine details, and compares it to any of the other MMORPGs on the market (Everquest 2, KOTOR, Ragnarok Online), World of Warcraft blows them away in almost every aspect, with it's atmospheric environments, breath-taking scenery, and perfectly rendered models.

Another fantastic aspect is that unlike it's less graphically intense counterparts, WoW does not suffer from (too many) loading times between any areas. Meaning, unless the game is played on a low-end system with a dialup connection, you will be able to play seamlessly, regardless of where you're heading.

Sound: 9.5/10

World of Warcraft was certainly not created to be an orchestra in a box, but from what you can hear even as early as the loading screen, it sure sounds like it. WoW is definitely not a game you'll want to play with the music and volume low, as even the dying screams of your foes will send shivers down your spine.

The only reason sound receives a slight demerit is because of the slight repetitiveness of the enemy's death-cries. Within a two or three area section of the map, most different types of enemies all die in the exact same way. It's not the most crushing of annoyances, but after the 300th "Aaaaargh", your spine gets rather tired of shivering.

Gameplay: 10+/10

Amazing. That's all that can be said about the unlimited amount of pure fun you'll have playing around with everything in this massive game. Tired of slaughtering baddie after baddie for quest items? Take a break, purchase a pickax, and go mine some more ore to make new equipment. Can't find that last piece of the puzzle? Go pluck some rare herbs to complete your alchemy potions. Low on HP? Cook yourself a nice steak from your foe's flesh!

Even without the vast amounts of professions to train in, WoW is still a total blast to play through, whether you're out slaughtering the evil Horde, or tainting the ranks of the holy Alliance; defying the Defias Brotherhood or hounding the hounds; building up a successful crafting business, or auctioning off your favorite equipment for alcohol money, every possible course of action you'll take will leave you begging for more, no question about it.
